Welcome to The Miller Nest!

 

Here at The Miller Nest we specialise in care for children from 3 months to 6 years.

We have two learning spaces, our Nursery for under 2 year olds, and our combined Toddler and Preschool space.
Our centre has a calm, home like atmosphere, and a dedicated team of both qualified and in-training teachers who believe that children learn and grow best in an environment that is filled with unconditional love, respectful practice, beauty and curiosity.
We draw inspiration from Reggio Emelia and our teaching practice is guided by Te Whāriki(2017) -The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum

Preschool

Our Preschool room caters for children aged 2-6 years. Our responsive teachers plan and implement a curriculum to extend children's interests both within group and individual contexts. We love to engage with nature and often go on walks within our local community. Respectful interactions are at the core of what we do and most of all we love to have fun!

Nursery

Our Nursery specialises in the care and education of infants and toddlers. Within a calm and nurturing environment; dedicated teachers follow the children's lead and identify and care for each child's needs in a respectful and unhurried manner.
